A contemporary, period piece♥

A resplendent, shimmering crystal confined to hard angles; softened with the pearl in its bosom and the beautiful lace filigree and pearls surrounding it.

Many of the components used in the making of this piece remind me of the shapes and elements found the Tudor fashion. The crescent shapes of their bonnet headdresses; the sturdy lines of their clothing and architecture; pearls! ooh! pearls...

Oblique, hence, its asymmetry. The dragonfly swoops to one side leaving no need for the crystals to continue that way

The necklace pendant is made with only solid brass elements. They are nickel and lead free, and rich in detail.


- i had considered doing this with a pearl chain... but didn't have enough of the correct pearls =/
